I know its a lot to ask, and maybe I shouldnt even hope for it, but damn it, I sure would like another one of these.. A deadly journey of vengeance, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD marks the last chapter of the legendary series.. As soon as Rambo starts maiming and killing, this movie goes so far over the top you cant help but cheer him on.

The fifth Rambo is a little different in that it is more of a generic revenge flick in its setup.

When Rambo stands at Carmens grave, he places his Medal of Honor on her tombstone.. However, Sylvester Stallone didnt liked how over the top the action was and some other parts of the script, so he scaled everything down in his re-write to make it more realistic in order to focus more on the story and characters.. The point he would have gotten rid of that medal would have been in the first film, even the second.

The 100 minutes version has a longer opening sequence where Rambo is helping to rescue people caught in a storm.. But placing it on a teenage girls grave is hitting a fake hero moment In fact, the title of the film appears immediately after the production logos.. One version is 89 minutes long and has been released in the US and the UK The other version, released in various countries, is 100 minutes long.. A slow build up, a suspenseful breakout and then cathartic violence That last action sequence, where Rambo goes totally berserk and makes minced meat out of a whole army, I mean, come on, that was awesome.. The guy just keeps coming back succesfully, against all odds Who would have thought that he could pull off another Rambo flick at age 73 Well, Im glad he did, because besides Liam Neeson, Denzel Washington and Mel Gibson, who are we gonna turn to for some old school, old-man-on-a-revenge-spree flick I was a big fan of First Blood, but didnt care so much for the second (too cartoonish) and third (too friggin awful) installments.

He actually did get rid of all of his medals in the book for the second movie ) If he buried a former Veteran, even that would make more sense.
